SweetDream AI is a browser-based AI companion app run by Tetractys Development Ltd, a UK company at 293 Northfield Avenue, London. On 22 October 2026 its pricing page listed three plans: $12.99 a week, $79 every 3 months and $179 a year, each adding 400 tokens a week. Its terms refund a payment in full if you used 10% or less of the tokens that payment added.
This is a research overview. We read SweetDream’s pricing page, terms, privacy policy, content policy and help centre on 22 October 2026 and quote them with dates. We have not paid for SweetDream, so there is no score and no verdict on chat quality. The pros, cons and verdict below cover price, refunds and privacy only. How we test explains what a paid test adds. SweetDream is for adults 18 and over, and every companion on it is an AI character.
SweetDream AI pros and cons
Pros
- Text chat is cheap. A message costs 0.2 tokens, so one week’s 400 plan tokens cover 2,000 messages.
- Full refund if you used 10% or less of the tokens a payment includes, and that covers a renewal you forgot to cancel.
- The yearly plan costs $179, against about $675 a year on the weekly plan.
- Saving, viewing and deleting memories costs no tokens.
Cons
- The pricing page shows no monthly plan. Weekly billing at $12.99 works out to about $56 a month.
- Its privacy policy lets it train its AI on anonymised chats, and it offers no opt-out.
- The privacy policy claims end-to-end encryption, while the content policy says automated checks read chat messages.
- Tokens cannot be spent while your subscription is lapsed.
- The operating company was incorporated in April 2026, and the terms have no governing-law clause.
- The free account gives 5 messages in total.
Our verdict on SweetDream AI
SweetDream is good value if you mostly want text chat with an occasional browser call, and its 10% refund rule is one of the clearest we have read. It is poor value for heavy video or phone-call use, where 400 tokens buy 5 videos or 20 phone minutes. If chat training without an opt-out is a dealbreaker for you, pick another app. This verdict rests on SweetDream’s published prices and terms, not on a hands-on test.

SweetDream AI plans and prices on 22 October 2026
| Plan | Published price | Billing | Tokens added |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekly | $12.99 | every week | 400 a week |
| 3 months | $79.00 | every 3 months | 400 a week |
| 12 months | $179.00 | every year | 400 a week |
| Free account | $0 | none | 5 messages and 3 voice plays, in total |
Plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. The weekly plan works out to about $56 a month and $675 a year if you keep it running, against $179 for the yearly plan (our arithmetic from the published prices). The pricing page shows no monthly plan, but SweetDream’s terms, updated 20 October 2026, still list “weekly, monthly, every 3 months or yearly” as billing periods. The pricing page also says some accounts “are shown other plans”, so check the subscription page before you pay.
Prices show in US dollars, euros, British pounds or Turkish lira depending on your country. One-time token packs run from 400 tokens for $9.99 to 40,000 tokens for $299.95, and they top up a subscription rather than replace it.
How SweetDream tokens are spent
Chat on a subscription is metered. The pricing page says “each message costs 0.2 tokens from the first one”, and everything else draws on the same balance.
| Action | Tokens |
|---|---|
| Text message | 0.2 |
| Photo in chat or generator | 8 |
| Video, or turning a photo into a video | 80 |
| Browser voice call | 1 to connect, then 2 a minute |
| Phone voice call | 10 to connect, then 20 a minute |
| Video call (selected characters, beta) | 8 to start plus 3 per 15 seconds, or 20 to start plus 20 a minute, by character |
| Create a character | 50 |
| Saving, viewing or deleting memories | 0 |

Text costs little next to video. 400 tokens cover 2,000 messages, but only 5 videos or 20 minutes of phone calls. Subscribers also get a daily reward of 3 to 20 tokens on a 7-day streak that resets if you miss a day.
Two token rules on SweetDream’s own pages conflict. The pricing page says “Tokens can be spent only while a subscription is active.” The terms say “Unused tokens do not expire but may be lost upon account termination.” Read together, a lapsed subscription leaves tokens on your balance that you cannot use until you subscribe again.
The SweetDream refund rule
SweetDream ties refunds to the share of a payment’s tokens you used.

The terms add that this covers “a renewal you forgot to cancel”. A refund removes the tokens that payment added, and refunding a subscription payment also cancels the subscription. Above 10%, “Any other refund request is reviewed on its merits”. No time limit for asking is stated. You ask by email to support@sweetdream.ai or through the contact form, naming the payment.
The terms now define “the tokens a payment includes” as “a token pack, or the tokens your plan includes for the period you paid for”. On a yearly plan that is the full year’s allowance, not the tokens added so far. Tokens arrive weekly on long plans, though, so check your balance before you rely on the 10% line.
The rule is new. An archived copy of the terms from 1 October 2025 offered refunds only “within 7 days of purchase for subscription services that have not been used”.
Cancelling a SweetDream subscription
You cancel in Settings: choose Unsubscribe on the Subscription card, give a reason and confirm. The help centre says the cancel flow needs both a reason from a list and a short written note before you can go on. Your plan stays active until the end date shown on the card, and cancelling does not refund a payment already made.
Card payments go through a third-party checkout that SweetDream does not name, and the site shows Visa and Mastercard logos. Crypto payments run through Confirmo. SweetDream does not publish how a charge appears on a bank statement.
What SweetDream does with your chats
SweetDream’s privacy policy is dated 15 January 2024. It says conversations “are stored to provide personalized experiences and improve our AI models”, and adds a training clause:

The policy describes no way to opt out of training. Its opt-outs cover marketing emails and non-essential analytics only.
The policy also says “Your conversations are protected with end-to-end encryption.” SweetDream’s own pages describe processing that needs to read chats on its servers: the content policy says “Automated checks read chat messages”, and the memory feature builds memories from your messages. Treat the encryption line as the company’s claim.
| Data | What SweetDream publishes |
|---|---|
| Deleting your account | “most data is immediately removed” |
| Inactive accounts | Deleted after 2 years of inactivity |
| ID and transaction records | Kept at least 5 years |
| Voice call audio | Not kept. Transcripts are saved as chat text |
| Voice message audio | Deleted about a day after sending |
| Memories | Up to 50 per character. Deleting one removes it from storage |
| Selling data | Not addressed |
| Where data is stored | Not stated |
The privacy policy names no company as data controller. Resetting a chat does not erase that character’s memories. You delete those separately. Our privacy comparison of eight companion apps shows how other apps handle training and deletion.
Who runs SweetDream
The site footer and About page name Tetractys Development Ltd. Companies House lists it as company 17171203, active, incorporated on 21 April 2026, with business codes for IT and engineering consultancy. SweetDream was online before that: archived pages from September and October 2025 show the site with no operator named. Who ran it before April 2026 is not published.
The terms contain no governing-law or jurisdiction clause, and they cap SweetDream’s liability at what you paid in the 12 months before a claim. On Trustpilot, sweetdream.ai had a TrustScore of 3.7 from 3 reviews on 31 October 2026, none of them a complaint, too few to read much into. SweetDream publishes no step-by-step deletion guide. Its content policy says you can delete your whole account from Settings. Have I Been Pwned listed no breach.
SweetDream’s content rules
Users must be 18 or over. The content policy holds characters you build to 21 and over, and bans minors or anyone presented as young, non-consent, graphic violence and animals. Automated checks screen chat messages and media requests before anything is made, a blocked request can cost up to 2 tokens, and repeated blocks in a day suspend the account.
Neither the terms nor the content policy bans content about real people outright. The content policy mentions only that the services drawing images may refuse “when a face may belong to a real person”, and it offers a takedown route if something about you appears on the site.
Before you subscribe to SweetDream
SweetDream suits you if you mainly want text chat with occasional calls, because 0.2 tokens a message stretches a long way. Heavy video or phone-call use runs through 400 tokens fast, and token packs cost extra.

SweetDream ranks seventh in our AI companion app comparison, below apps that offer a monthly or cheaper yearly plan.
What changed on 3 November 2026
We added a pros and cons list, a verdict on price, refunds and privacy, and two questions on safety and value. All of them come from the facts on this page as checked on 31 October 2026.
What changed on 31 October 2026
We re-read every SweetDream page. Prices, token costs, content rules and the privacy policy are unchanged. The terms now define the token base for refunds as the full period paid for, so we replaced our paragraph that said they did not. We updated the Trustpilot count to 3 reviews, added the account deletion route and a question on how tokens arrive on long plans.
