Dondi AI (dondi.ai) is a browser-based AI companion app for adults: you chat with AI characters, and paid plans add images, video and voice messages. Its pricing page needs a login, so on 27 October 2026 we read the prices from the public checkout code of app.dondi.ai: $6.99 a week, $14.99 a month, $35.97 every three months or $71.88 a year. Its terms of service, revised 8 January 2026, say “Your Content may be used to train, improve, evolve, and enhance AI systems”.
This is a research overview. We read Dondi AI’s homepage, terms of service, privacy policy, underage policy, affiliate pages and web app code on 27 October 2026, and we quote them with their dates. We have not paid for Dondi AI, so this page has no score and no verdict on its chats. How we test explains what a paid test would add. Dondi AI’s claims next to its own documents
Dondi AI’s homepage and its legal pages often say different things. The table puts them side by side.

Dondi AI prices, and why they depend on who is looking
Dondi AI shows prices only after you log in. The checkout code that app.dondi.ai sends to every browser lists four premium plans, and on 27 October 2026 it held these control prices: Weekly $6.99 every 7 days, Monthly $14.99 a month, 3-Month $35.97 every 3 months ($11.99 a month) and Yearly $71.88 a year ($5.99 a month). The checkout text reads “Renews at $14.99/month until canceled.”
The weekly plan is the expensive way in. At $6.99 every 7 days it comes to $363.48 over a year, about five times the $71.88 yearly plan (our arithmetic).
The same code also runs a price test, labelled “exp_new_sub_price_v1” and stamped 24 September 2026. Visitors in the test group see the monthly plan at $19.99 and the 3-month plan at $44.97. Two people can open the same checkout and see different prices. The homepage also shows a “Sign up & get 70% Off” banner with a countdown, and the page’s own HTML restarts that countdown at 4 minutes 59 seconds on every load.
What Dondi AI tokens buy, and when they expire
The checkout code lists “Unlimited messages”, “Image & video generation” and “500 tokens on signup”, but that list sits inside a test of a $39.99 Premium plan, so we cannot confirm it applies to the standard plans. Tokens pay for media: the app copy says “Generate 1 image for 5 tokens” and “Play 1 new voice message for 1 token”. Extra packs cost $0.99 for 20 tokens, $1.99 for 50 and $4.99 for 150. At 5 tokens an image, the $4.99 pack buys 30 images, about 17 cents each (our arithmetic).
The app and the terms disagree on expiry. The app says “Tokens never expire”. Section 18.4 of the terms says otherwise.
The same section says tokens “have no monetary value” and are “non-transferable and non-refundable”. Spend tokens inside the billing period you bought them in.
What Dondi AI does with your chats
Dondi AI’s homepage promises that conversations “are processed, never stored” and that when you close your account, “everything disappears permanently”. The privacy policy describes a service that collects “Prompts and messages you enter” and AI replies. It keeps data “only for as long as necessary” and names no period in days or years. Section 10.3 adds that “certain data may be retained where required for legal, regulatory, security, or contractual purposes.”
The terms go further. Section 9.4 covers AI training.
That use “may occur internally or with affiliated technology partners.” Section 9.3 grants Dondi a “worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable” licence to your content, including for “marketing and promotional activities (where permitted by law)”. You keep your input, but section 9.5 says “You do not receive exclusive rights to any Output”, and section 5.3 says “You do not own your Account”. Who runs Dondi AI
Dondi AI names three different operators across its pages. The terms name “Techcommerce Unlimited, 15090 Kensington Park Dr, Tustin, CA 92782”. The footer of every dondi.ai page says “Powered by dondi.ai Labs Inc.” The affiliate sign-up link goes to an Everflow account under the name “joventures”.
The terms choose no state or country. Section 23 sends disputes to “the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction” under “applicable laws of the operating jurisdiction”, and the terms contain no arbitration clause. Changes take effect “immediately upon publication”.
The dondi.ai domain was registered on 7 January 2026, per WHOIS, one day before the terms and privacy policy were dated. The homepage tells visitors to “Join over 50 million users”.
Cancelling Dondi AI and the 24-hour refund window
Dondi AI subscriptions renew on their own: section 18.2 says they “automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled”. The terms tell you to cancel “through your account settings”, while the checkout says “Cancel anytime by emailing support@dondi.ai.” Use both, and keep the email. Support says it replies within 24 to 48 hours. After you cancel, access runs to the end of the paid period, and the terms say “No partial refunds will be issued for unused time unless required by law”.
Refunds are narrow. Section 19.2 requires a request “within 24 hours of payment”, and only if “You have not consumed premium features beyond minimal use”. Token refunds follow the same 24-hour window, “only if tokens have not been used”. A chargeback lets Dondi cancel your subscription at once, and “Remaining tokens or credits may be forfeited”.
Dondi AI takes cards and Apple Pay or Google Pay, per its checkout code. Its homepage FAQ says billing runs under “a discreet, generic merchant descriptor”, but Dondi AI does not publish the descriptor text. Check your statement after the first charge so you can spot renewals.
What Dondi AI does not have yet
Dondi AI has little public track record. On 27 October 2026 Trustpilot had no profile for dondi.ai, and we found no Dondi app on the US App Store or Google Play. Have I Been Pwned listed no breach, and a news search found no lawsuit or regulator action against Dondi AI or Techcommerce Unlimited. Its Help Center page had no articles.
Dondi AI runs an affiliate program that advertises “30% recurring commission” and a 60-day cookie. Its affiliate terms set “a minimum payout amount of $100 USD before payment is issued”, while the program page promises “No minimum thresholds”. Any review site can apply to that program, so read Dondi AI verdicts elsewhere with that in mind. We have not joined the program.
Before you sign up for Dondi AI
If you try Dondi AI, pick the monthly or yearly plan over the weekly one, note which price your checkout shows, and spend tokens before the period ends. We re-read Dondi AI’s homepage, terms, privacy policy and checkout, and every claim above still holds. We corrected one line: the “500 tokens on signup” feature list belongs to a $39.99 plan Dondi is testing, not clearly to its standard plans. Dondi still has no Trustpilot profile and no app in either store.
