HeyGF AI is a browser-based AI girlfriend chat service at heygf.ai, run by Y2A LLC of Dover, Delaware, according to its terms of service. On 3 November 2026 its pricing page listed three plans: Casual at $9.99 a month, Closer at $19.99 and Exclusive at $39.99, each with a monthly coin allowance for photos, videos and voice. The annual toggle advertises “Save 64%”, but against HeyGF’s own monthly prices the annual plans save 17% to 27%.
This is a research overview. On 3 November 2026 I read HeyGF’s terms, privacy policy, AI disclaimer, safety page, pricing page, about and contact pages and three of its blog posts, and I quote them with dates. We have not paid for HeyGF or used it, so this page gives no score and no verdict on its chat or images. How we test explains what a paid test would add. HeyGF pays us nothing. The images on this page link to Candy AI, which pays us a commission.
Who runs HeyGF
HeyGF names its operator at the end of its terms: “The Service is operated and provided by Y2A LLC.” The address given is 8 The Green #21065, Dover, Delaware 19901. The privacy policy and contact page name the same company, with contact@heygf.ai as the one email address for support, billing and privacy questions.
HeyGF runs in a web browser. Its FAQ says “No installation is needed” and calls the service “fully browser-based”. Apple’s US App Store search returned no HeyGF app on 3 November 2026, and the homepage links to no app store.
The homepage says HeyGF is “Rated 4.8 / 5 by 50,000+ users” and names no rating source. Trustpilot blocked our request for its heygf.ai page on 3 November 2026, so we have no Trustpilot figure to report. Have I Been Pwned listed no breach for HeyGF or Y2A LLC on the same day.
Where your HeyGF chats go, and who can read them
HeyGF stores your messages, the AI replies and “Images and media exchanged during conversations”, according to section 2.2 of its privacy policy, last updated 1 November 2026. Section 7 says HeyGF sends “the relevant parts of your conversation and your companion’s settings” to third-party AI model providers. The policy does not name those providers.
Three more points from HeyGF’s own pages matter before you type anything personal:
- Staff access. The safety page, updated 31 October 2026, says: “Our team may read conversations to keep the service safe, fix problems and improve it.”
- Ad partners. Section 6 of the privacy policy names Meta, Google, Microsoft, Reddit, X and PostHog. When you sign up, sign in or buy, HeyGF “may share identifiers such as your email address, your name, and an account identifier with some of these partners.”
- Billing. The homepage FAQ says card transactions “do not mention ‘AI girlfriend’ or any related terms”. The terms name Epoch among HeyGF’s payment partners.
HeyGF’s homepage FAQ says “Your chat history is never shared or sold.” The privacy policy is narrower: it says HeyGF does not sell personal information, and it lists the sharing above.
Two HeyGF pages disagree about AI training
The privacy policy rules out training on your chats. Section 7 says: “We do not use your conversations to train AI models”.

HeyGF’s AI Disclaimer, last updated 6 May 2025 and still linked in the site footer, says the opposite. Section 6 reads: “Data from interactions may be used to train and refine AI models”. The bullet above it says conversations “may be stored and used to improve our AI systems”.

The privacy policy is the newer document. The terms also give HeyGF a licence to your input “for the purpose of providing and improving our Service”. If training matters to you, email contact@heygf.ai and ask which page applies before you pay.
Deleting a HeyGF account keeps a record
Deleting your account in Settings does not erase it. The privacy policy says HeyGF will “close the account and remove your ability to sign in, and we keep a record of the account to prevent fraud and abuse and to meet our billing and legal obligations.”
For permanent deletion you email contact@heygf.ai. For data received through Google sign-in, HeyGF says it deletes it “within 30 days, except for information we must keep by law”. The policy gives no fixed retention period for anything else, only “as long as necessary”. HeyGF says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and that Google sign-in data sits in Google Cloud (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore).
HeyGF plans, coins and what each action costs
Every paid HeyGF plan includes unlimited text chat, and coins pay for media. The pricing page lists these plans on 3 November 2026.
| Plan | Published monthly price | Annual price, shown per month | Coins | Our arithmetic: cost per coin, monthly plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Casual | $9.99 | $8.33 | 150 a month (1,800 a year) | 6.7 cents |
| Closer | $19.99 | $15.83 | 350 a month (4,200 a year) | 5.7 cents |
| Exclusive | $39.99 | $29.17 | 800 a month (9,600 a year) | 5.0 cents |
The annual view shows only a per-month figure, not a yearly total. Billed for 12 months up front, the annual plans would come to about $99.96, $189.96 and $350.04 (our arithmetic). Annual plans add each character’s full photo gallery, which the pricing page marks “only on annual plans”.
HeyGF publishes its coin costs in a blog post dated 21 September 2026, not on the pricing page:
- Photo in chat: 3 coins
- Voice note: 10 coins
- Live voice call: 1 coin a minute
- Video: 25 coins
- Creating your own character: 20 coins, once
At those rates, Casual’s 150 coins buy 50 photos or 6 videos a month, and a video costs about $1.67 of Casual coins or $1.25 of Exclusive coins (our arithmetic). On 3 November 2026 HeyGF’s explore page carried a banner saying “Every video up to 30% cheaper”, so the 25-coin video figure may already be out of date. HeyGF’s 16 October blog post says “Text messages never cost coins.”
Two coin rules from the same 21 September post change how you should use them. Plan coins “expire with” the billing period, while coins bought in a pack “do not expire at all”. Bought in packs, coins cost “about 15 cents each in the smallest pack down to about 5 cents each in the largest”, and the public pricing page does not list pack prices.
Free use is limited. The September post gives “5 messages a day with no account at all and 30 a day once you sign in”. Voice calls need a paid plan, and a call “ends by itself after 30 minutes”, according to HeyGF’s voice-call post of 16 October.
The “Save 64%” label, checked against HeyGF’s own monthly prices
HeyGF measures its annual discounts against struck-through prices that its monthly plans do not charge. The pricing page shows $15.00, $35.00 and $80.00 crossed out next to Casual, Closer and Exclusive, in both the monthly and annual views. The annual labels “SAVE 44%”, “SAVE 55%” and “SAVE 64%” are each plan’s annual price compared with those crossed-out figures.
Compared with HeyGF’s real monthly prices of $9.99, $19.99 and $39.99, annual billing saves 17% on Casual, 21% on Closer and 27% on Exclusive.

HeyGF refunds and cancelling
HeyGF subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in account settings. After you cancel, the plan “will remain active until the end of your current billing period”, and the terms say: “We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.”
Coin packs are not refundable either. Section 4 says: “All one-time purchases, such as coin packs or custom media, are final and non-refundable.” HeyGF will consider billing errors or service faults “on a case-by-case basis”, at “our sole discretion”. HeyGF’s September blog post says a failed photo or video “refunds the coins automatically”.
Disputes go to “binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association’s rules” under Delaware law, on an individual basis only. Claims must be brought “within one (1) year”, and HeyGF caps its liability at the greater of what you paid in the past 12 months or $100.
Age checks and HeyGF’s creator twin program
HeyGF is for adults. Its terms say the service is “intended for users who are at least 18 years of age”. The safety page says HeyGF asks “every visitor to confirm they’re 18 or older before they open a chat”, and a character stops if a user says they are under 18. The AI Disclaimer claims “age verification processes” but says they “are not foolproof”. None of HeyGF’s public pages describes an ID check for users. On 3 November 2026 its character directory listed every character as 18 or older, and we found no teen or school category.
HeyGF also runs a program it calls an AI twin, on a “For Creators” page. It offers adult performers aged 18 or older an AI version of themselves, “built the same way, from your photos”, which makes new photos and short videos of the creator when a fan asks. HeyGF says it verifies each creator’s age and identity, that the creator signs a consent, and that “Fans are told they are chatting with your AI twin.” A separate image studio lets paid users create adult images of any platform character, and it accepts an uploaded reference image.
That program conflicts with HeyGF’s own documents. Section 9 of its terms says: “Generated images are created by AI and do not depict real individuals”. Its 2257 statement says its images “do not involve or portray any actual human beings”. If you think HeyGF content shows you without consent, its terms (section 7.2) and content removal policy offer a likeness removal request through contact@heygf.ai.
Before you pay for HeyGF
Start on the free tier, which needs no card, and count how many photos and videos you ask for in a week. If you mainly want text chat, Casual at $9.99 a month covers unlimited messages, and its 150 coins go furthest on photos at 3 coins each. Buy annual only once you know you will stay, because HeyGF refunds no partial periods and its annual plans save 17% to 27% against monthly prices.
Use an email address you keep for apps like this, since HeyGF may pass your email and name to its ad partners. To compare how other companion apps word the same rules, read our AI girlfriend app privacy comparison, and for adult chat apps with published prices see our NSFW AI chat apps comparison.
